What is the Hellenic Baggage allowance for Travelling with Excess luggage and Oversized items?
- The fee for checked luggage is €5 per 2 pieces of luggage with a total weight of up to 40 kg (per passenger).
- If the luggage per passenger exceeds 2 pieces or 40 kg, the passenger is obliged to pay the corresponding multiple fare.

How to get reduced ticket prices?
A passenger who buys a ticket earlier than the day of train departure based on the Train’s current tariff policy has significant discounts on the ticket price. More specifically, the discounts depending on the pre-purchase time of the ticket are the following:
- 15 % discount: Valid for ticket issuance sixty (60) days*24 hours before the scheduled itinerary
- 10 % discount: Valid for ticket issuance thirty (30) days*24 hours before the scheduled itinerary
- 5 % discount: Valid for ticket issuance fifteen (15) days*24 hours before the scheduled itinerary
